I’m currently watching my family play cards as I sit here and try to digest the massive turkey dinner we all prepared.  Yum.  So full.

I still have a little more to do on my Nick Kringle story, but it’s close!  Tomorrow might be pushing it, so let’s say this weekend.  I’ve had so much fun revisiting the Kringle world and and thinking about the girls and their crazy extended family.  And now I have hot Kringle Boys to heat up your holiday nights, too!

Hope you all had a lovely time with friends and family, and now, on to Christmas!

MORE THAN A NIGHT is up and I’m so excited!  It was such fun to write, though it took me much longer than I thought it would.  Hmmm…what to say about this book?  It’s probably the last standard contemporary romance I’m going to write for awhile – the Coming Soon list is all paranormal and suspense – but I must admit that I have a huge crush on my hero Henry, which is probably why there’s so much hot sex in this book…if you like that sort of thing…LOL…:)

Pick up a copy to keep yourself company in between basting the turkey and arguing with the relatives!  And if you have time, reviews on Amazon are much appreciated.  Meanwhile, I’ll be typing my little fingers off to get the first KRINGLE BOYS book on the shelf, and my holiday freebie will be up at midnight!  Happy Reading!

The weekend was stolen from me by the chaos of holiday prep, but fingers crossed, MORE THAN A NIGHT will go into the queue tomorrow night!  Look for it Tuesday morning. 🙂

Did you enjoy Ch. 12 of SHINY THINGS?  It was fun to start getting it back on track!  I have five chapters to go, so I’ll see what I can do about fitting those in before the end of the year.

Updates!

One more heroic push to finish up MORE THAN A NIGHT in the next few days – have to get it out there so that I can focus on werewolves, bad Kringle boys, and mayhem in Bright’s Ferry.

SAFE FROM THE STORM is looking like a late December release, but I think it will be worth the wait!  I realized that setting up SAFE FROM THE WILD needed a little more setup in SFS, so I’m taking my time to get it right.  I’ll get a blurb up for SFW at some point soon.

KRINGLES!!!  I’m so thrilled at the love my Kringle Girls get, and I’m so happy to have a new one going to add to the series.  Blurb and MAYBE an excerpt tomorrow night, but for the moment, I’ll tell you that Nick is all about Santa’s nephew, who’s a little bitter for guy who owns a candy store.  He’s going to get a dose of naughty and Christmas cheer from one of the North Pole’s most determined helpers. 🙂  Look for that right after Thanksgiving to get the season started off right.

There are lots of werewolves and monsters in my future…LOL…I have a feeling 2014 is going to be all about HEARTS OF STONE – it might be pushing it to get SHADOW OF THE RAVEN and ENSNARED out by the end of the year.  But who knows?  KISS OF THE WILD WOLF is also waiting in the wings, which is the start of a new series.

As usual, characters are clamoring for time, so I’m trying to accommodate them. 😉  Happy to report that there is no end of fun storytelling in sight, and plenty of sexy stories to round out 2013 and beyond.

I have a cold!  WAHHHHHH!!!!

I am not a good patient.  The lengths to which I feel sorry for myself are extreme. 😉  I’m curled up in bed with a couple of cats, a dog, and a backlog of TV to watch.

SO, it looks like I’ll be writing you a SHINY THINGS chapter, which I should be doing anyway – look for that on Friday!  Hopefully I’ll be feeling better by then.

As for my Kringle Guy – I have it all outlined and will have a blurb and a cover for you sometime this weekend.  I was too loopy from cold meds today to work on SFS or MORE THAN A NIGHT, but I’m going to dive back in tomorrow morning.

I spent a great weekend writing and once I get some coffee in me, will get back to it.  I thought it might be fun to let you choose your own excerpt this week, since I have a LOT of plot bunnies spinning around, so click on the poll below and let me know what upcoming book you’d like to see a snippet of and I will do my best to comply.

So, last night I was doing my part to keep the Halloween candy count under control and daydreaming over a rather luscious piece of nougat when an idea drifted into my mind for a short story or possibly a novella.

If you’re a regular reader here, you know that I like things steamy and am not usually burdened by concerns of going too far – I think all of my work has a bit of romance in it somewhere, but sweet and hot go hand in hand.  However, this new idea takes place in an edgy strip club/sex club, and as I was playing around with various scenarios, it started to feel a little sordid – after all, at the end of the day, the goal is to tell a good story, not just get my readers all hot and bothered.

I let it go and went to bed, but this morning, it’s still nudging me, so I think I’ll keep developing it until it fulfills all of my story criteria – hot as hell, but sweet as pie, too.  I haven’t worked out all the kinks (LOL), but it’s sort of a reverse Cinderella about a guy who works in this club after hours to make some extra cash and indulge his exhibitionist tendencies, who falls for a woman that he thinks is way out of his league.  It’s a relatively familiar setup, but I think I can play with it and take it in some interesting directions – and for all of the kinky sex club fun, there should be a core story about two people coming together.

Anyway, off to work on edits – at this rate, MORE THAN A NIGHT and SAFE FROM THE STORM are going to come out at the same time.  And I need to hustle, as I have a Kringle guy to write this month, too!
